Job Overview:
The HR Intern will assist with various HR functions, gaining practical experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, HR administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn about HR operations in a dynamic business environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
Assist in posting job openings on internal and external job boards
Review resumes and screen applicants alongside recruiters
Schedule interviews and coordinate communication with candidates
Support new hire onboarding, including preparing offer letters, welcome packets, and orientation materials
Employee Engagement & HR Communications
Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives (e.g., appreciation events, wellness programs)
Draft internal HR communications such as newsletters, announcements, and SharePoint updates
Support internal surveys and analyze employee feedback
HR Administration & Compliance
Help maintain and update HR records and documentation
Assist in HR compliance audits, including reviewing I-9 forms and employee files
Support HRIS data entry and reporting tasks
HR Research & Project Support
Research HR best practices and provide recommendations for process improvements
Assist in compiling HR metrics and reports for management review
Participate in HR team meetings and contribute ideas for HR initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
Prior internship or work experience in HR, administration, or customer service (preferred but not required)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR data professionally
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
