Core Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. Build strong relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and challenges, and by understanding their personal needs and motivations. 
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic marketing and advertising plans that align with client objectives and drive business growth for both the client and the agency.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor account managers and executives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Proactively lead and collaborate with cross-divisional teams to meet and exceed client needs. Manage up to the executive team as needed to ensure accounts have the needed resources to ensure seamless workflows. 
  • Campaign Management: Oversee the development, execution, and measurement of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and are optimized as needed. 
  • Set High Standards: Critically review strategies, briefs, creative work, media plans, and reporting to ensure the agency is delivering the best possible work at every client touchpoint. 
  • Financial Management: Manage assigned accounts to hit projected revenue and burn rate targets. Manage account budgets internally and with clients. 
  • New Business Development: Use active listening and an entrepreneurial mindset to identify opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts. As needed, contribute to new business pitches and proposals.
  • Client Presentations: Strive to make every presentation the best part of a client’s day by providing meeting agendas with a clear “end in mind’; excellent deck organization, design, and flow (with no errors); and by orchestrating meeting hospitality / theatrics to surprise and delight attendees.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 8 years of experience in account management or client services within an advertising or marketing agency.
  • Proven track record of managing high-profile client accounts and delivering successful campaigns.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing and media strategies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A client-oriented, hospitality mindset.
