The Skyline Collection is seeking a Maintenance Engineer experienced in commercial high rise office buildings for the 1201 Walnut location in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri. The Maintenance Engineers role is to maintain the appearance and mechanical requirements of assigned facilities to ensure tenant satisfaction and will respond to tenant calls regarding emergency and maintenance issues.

Typical Duties
- Respond to tenant/building calls, emergency issues, alarms, power outages, water/plumbing issues and other minor replacement needs and repairs.
- Develop and implement effective preventive maintenance programs for the various systems and equipment in the building. Includes: mechanical, plumbing, fire safety, security, and landscape/ exterior.
- Complete periodic property checks: touring property, monitoring checklist of items to inspect; locking and unlocking buildings, taking care of identified needs.
- Pick up parts and supplies from vendors.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned. Examples include: painting, tile repair, changing air filters, seasonal duties, such as snow removal, tenant signage, monitoring lawn sprinkler, plumbing, hanging pictures, banners and other. Furniture setup/tear down. Event setup/teardown.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent minimum 3 plus years work experience in commercial office environment.
- Valid driver's license
- Must have working knowledge of the following:
- Electrical – how to use a volt meter, trace electrical circuits, and replace receptacles breakers, and switches, change light bulbs and ballast.
- Plumbing - repair/replace flush valves and faucets, unstop stools, replace wax rings, clean drains, garbage disposals.
- General - repair/replace door closures, general carpentry (building shelves work benches) and painting
- Ability to life heavy items (50lb ), walk extensively, and drive a vehicle to other locations as needed.
