Copper Ridge Surgery Center is an award-winning, multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). We are the largest ASC in Michigan and are located in beautiful Traverse City.
The Facility Manager is a member of the CRSC Leadership Team and is responsible for maintenance functions in the Center including preventative and corrective maintenance of the Center’s facility and equipment. This position also assists with oversight of contract services related to maintenance and the facility and equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUCTIONS
· Project Management – overseeing/directing with CEO operating improvements, (construction projects, major equipment, build outs, replacement of systems.)
· Responsible for requests by the staff via the CEO or designee, for a variety of maintenance tasks within the Center and its associated structure.
· Responsible for tasks related to security of Center. Operates and maintains proximity readers and security systems.
· Responsible for bidding, negotiating, and evaluating service contracts.
· Responsible for federal, state and local fire safety codes and standards.
· Participates in complying with ongoing required federal, state and local inspections.
· Assist CEO in managing disasters and performs Incident Command duties.
· Oversees Hazardous Communication Program, including maintaining Safety Data Sheets.
· Participates in development of policies and procedures, participates in OSHA plans.
· Preparing and tracking capital or operating budgets for maintenance and replacements.
· Attends Center meetings and educational opportunities.
· Compliance program including record keeping, maintenance logs and other documentation to demonstrate preventive and corrective maintenance.
· May be required to make presentations to staff, management, board of directors, etc.
· Assists with emergency plans and testing, including leadership of emergency drills and staff education.
· Responsible for Building On Call scheduling and available for On Call rotation.
· Maintain mandated State and Federal licensure for operational purposes.
· Co-Lead with development, implementation and maintenance of safety program.
· Oversees various contracting crews.
· Plans budgets and schedules facility modifications, including cost estimates.
· Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion.
· As part of the Leadership Team, participates in survey readiness, including AAAHC accreditation, CMS and State of Michigan surveys. .
SKILLS and REQUIREMENTS
· Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills in order to facilitate effective interaction with a variety of physicians, staff and vendors.
· Ability to work independently and to organize and prioritize work efficiently to achieve the Center’s goals.
· Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and Word; other software utilized by the Center.
· Expertise in HVAC systems
· Knowledgeable in NFPA, Life Safety and CMS requirements and standards
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor or Associate degree with technical training in maintenance preferred.
· Minimum of three to five years of progressive experience and responsibility in a maintenance field.
· Similar experience in a health care setting preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking.
Lifting and pushing of light to medium weight objects, up to 50 pounds.
