Full Time

On Site (working from 2 NJ offices)


As a key member of the Company’s senior staff, the Controller leads the day-to-day management, operation and team management of all General Accounting functions relating to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Cash Management, General Ledger maintenance and Financial Statement preparation. The Controller has the additional responsibility for cash management, forecasting and budgets.


The primary responsibilities required for this role are:

  • Supervision and review of the accurate and timely recording of all accounting transactions in their books of original entry. Performs necessary reviews of key expense categories to determine accuracy and areas for cost savings. Maintains adequate systems and controls.
  • Reconciliation of subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger control account. Prepare trial balance with all adjusting journal entries and account analysis.
  • Timely preparation of the monthly management financial reporting package which includes the profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements with comparisons to budget and prior years.
  • Cash management on a daily and weekly basis, including a rolling cash forecast.
  • Prepare annual budget in conjunction with management team.
  • Work closely with other members of the management team. Develop and train staff.
  • Assist with HR related functions, including benefits administration and payroll. Review and approve Payroll and related journal entries.
  • Ensure 1099 filings are completed timely.
  • Prepares and manages all reviews/audits.
  • Special projects as needed. Supports all aspects of business where needed.
  • Build good customer/vendor relationships through communications and timely problem resolutions.
  • Have experience with driving growth through opportunity, M&A or alternative methods


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, with a minimum of 5 -7 years in general accounting, and annual budgets of $15million plus.
  • Thorough, analytical, detail oriented, forward thinking. Ability to see the complete transaction flow and streamline processes to increase efficiencies
  • Fully developed skills and experience with Net Suite, ERP, Outlook, Excel, and Word. Good understanding of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Exhibits characteristics such as leadership, ability to multi-task and coordinate diverse responsibilities.
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Experience in B2B, Manufacturing preferred
