IT Systems Specialist
The IT Systems Specialist will be a member of the Information Technology (IT) team and located at the company headquarters on-site.
This individual will deploy, configure, and maintain network, Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office 365, and associated data communication technologies while maintaining facility infrastructure and providing support to the user community. Serves as a project lead on various assignments. Also serves as mentors and trains users on IT applications and procedures.

The role will involve providing technical direction to staff, while also planning projects to achieve immediate and long-term IT goals.
Four or more years of technical experience is highly desired as this role will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining customer applications and environments including but not limited to Windows servers, Domain environments (AD DS, DNS, DHCP, File services, Print services, etc.), SQL Server, Application scripting, RDS, Citrix, and ERP applications, etc. This role will be expected to be able provide problem determination, incident resolution, basic service request fulfillment, and documentation, etc.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily operations of IT related equipment. Performs system administration maintenance and activities including routine maintenance and support for networking infrastructure, telephony, and data communications. Includes operating systems, applications and servers, e-mail systems, file and print systems, virus defense, web services, mobile devices, databases, security systems, network security, remote access, VOIP, and data communications.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure AD, Office365, Windows client and server Operating Systems, and administration of enterprise roles such as Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Understands networking concepts, including VLAN, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing and routing. Understanding of basic setup and troubleshooting of Firewalls and Router
- Provide End User Technical Support for software and hardware systems that supply end users with tools to enhance their productivity and effectiveness to support business applications. Including installation of desktops, notebooks, tablets, servers, printers, enterprise software, and other applications.
- Provide initiative-taking technical support to clients including response to system monitoring alerts, patch management, operating system maintenance, and malware/virus software remediation management
- Resolve hardware and software-related technical issues utilizing existing training and education tools, manufacturer knowledge bases, documented fixes, and other technical articles.
- VMware and Citrix experience is a plus
- Familiar with DevOp concepts, application development, management of on-premises and cloud application servers, web site hosting, and certificate management.
Manages and troubleshoots VPN remote access and firewall security system audits.
- Manages backup and recovery software solutions.
- Other tasks or duty as assigned or required.
- Hours will be Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and may include occasional weekend or after hours’ time.
Qualifications and Experience
- 4 years’ experience providing technical support in enterprise environment (help desk, network infrastructure, engineering, system administration, programming, etc.).
- OR an equivalent combination of experience and education. Bachelor’s degree in a technical IT degree plus 2 years’ related experience.
Salary : $70,000 - $84,000
