Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and independent Purchasing Coordinator / Inside Sales team member to join our long term team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that materials and supplies are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively. This position requires strong negotiation skills, a strong sense of organization, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments to support our operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the procurement of materials, supplies, and services necessary for operations.
• Monitor lead times for manufacturers and navigate internal demand from sales team to land needed materials at ideal timing to limit wait time (inventory level).
• Negotiate pricing and service issues with suppliers to secure the best possible outcomes.
• Quickly learn and utilize multiple manufacturing ordering systems to order inventory and streamline purchasing processes.
• Become product expert to understand what replacement parts and warranty items are needed, when and why.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance metrics.
• Support Outside Sales staff to execute on excellent customer service
• Work well with small team (~6 office staff) to "get the job done" for our team members and customers.
