What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager - Environmental Equity position at CORE?
This is a grant-funded position. The Program Manager reports to the CA Area Manager and is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and evaluation of CORE’s California Climate Action Volunteer Program. The Program Manager will work with CORE senior management to identify program goals, including implementing grant funded objectives and timelines. The Program Manager will develop and monitor program budget, supervise staff, build relationships with external partners, and deliver program reports to CORE senior management, funders, and other partners. Position expected to last up to 8 months.
Main Responsibilities :
- Oversee programs and activities of the California Volunteers Climate Action Grant
- Leads and manage Climate Action Volunteer event coordination, scheduling / calendar, promotion and implementation
- Coordinate and implement volunteer events as needed, from prep work to event wrap, including some weekends
- Collaborate with marketing and logistics departments, and leaders across the organization in the administration of the program
- Identify growth opportunities and further efficiencies that impact Climate Action Volunteer recruitment program success and aids in development of strategy
- Plan, develop, coordinate, and organize resources to meet program objectives; will be responsible foridentifying program participants
- Work with external stakeholders to maintain and further develop program growth, community outreach activities, as well as relationship building and maintenance
- Management of program coordinator staff
- Responsible for developing and implementing applicable education, training, on-boarding and / or mentorship of staff
- Maintain staff and program compliance with organizational policies, procedures, program fiscal budgets and implementation of key milestones
- Ensure compliance with grant guidelines, and local, state and federal laws
- Research, gather, organize, and summarize data for evaluating performance of program and staff
- Develop, evaluate, and implement procedures for data collection, management and quality control and present results and recommendations to senior leadership.
