Position overview
This position is instrumental for the further development and improvement of the Porsche Classic Factory Restoration business and Sonderwunsch program. Supporting the Sr. Parts Specialist, this position assists in managing the Factory Restoration part inventory and warehouse. This includes part transportation coordination with the Atlanta Porsche Distribution Center and central Porsche facilities in Germany. This role also works hand-in-hand with all Porsche Classic Technicians as well as the Porsche Classic body, paint, and upholstery shops.
Roles & responsibilities
- Daily Management of the Factory Restoration parts inventory and warehouse
- Manage part transport from the Atlanta Porsche Distribution Center, including performing daily will call pick-ups
- Support all part requests from technicians
- Support presentation of parts to the work floor
- Prepare weekly inventory reports
- Support inventory management and warehouse improvement projects
- Support interdisciplinary projects
- Seeks to ensure proper retention of electronic documents, business confidential information, and actively demonstrates an understanding of the need to safeguard competitive information in both electronic and non-electronic formats
Required qualifications include:
- 5-years’ experience in inventory management and warehouse organization
- Ability to work in a multicultural team, team-oriented working attitude
- High degree of self-motivation and positive problem-solving capabilities
- High Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access)
- Ability to efficiently multi-task with proficient organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Porsche vehicle parts knowledge
- Strong Porsche Product knowledge
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean Driving Record
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with CDK dealer management system
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with PLL
- Strong strategic and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Inventory Management reporting
- High Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
- Strong ability and knowledge of product lifecycle management
Schedule/Shift:
- Monday-Friday standard; minimum 40% in office
- Some Weekends
Physical requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to work on engines on engine stand
- Ability to work on cars on hoist lift or on ground
- Ability to drive a manual stick shift transmission
