What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist/Front Desk position at Corinth Family Medicine and Pediatrics?
MUST possess EXCELLENT customer service skills at all times and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must possess a self-starter attitude and take pride in your work.
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for the following (the list is not inclusive):
- Insurance verifications
- Kind and efficient response to phone calls maintaining minimum rings and answering inquiries in a sympathetic, and effective manner
- Scheduling patients efficiently
- Collecting co-pays, deductible, co-insurance amounts per our contract agreement
- Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and gentle manner
- Assisting in the management of patient medical records
- Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean
- Helping patients with paperwork
- Providing general office duties, e.g. faxing, data entry, scanning, etc.
- Effectively multitask in a high-volume atmosphere
- Excellent phone etiquette and ability to establish rapport with diverse clientele
- Handle multiple phone lines with a pleasant and helpful attitude
- Electronic Medical Records
- Multitask in a high-volume atmosphere
- Clean triage room as needed
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked front restroom
- Keep work space clean and organized and free from clutter
- Maintain HIPAA standards
- Appointment Confirmations
- All other duties as seen fit by manager.
