PROJECT MANAGER
Corliss & Solomon is a local, certified public accounting firm focused exclusively on providing auditing, form 990 preparation and consulting services to at least 75% local and independent nonprofit organizations within 50 miles of Asheville and throughout Western North Carolina.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: Responsibilities
- Orchestrate the entire engagement lifecycle, meticulously tracking progress from initiation through to successful completion across various platforms.
- Guide and drive internal teams towards efficient and timely completion of client deliverables, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
- Partner with client-facing teams to understand client needs and expectations, ensuring project plans align with those requirements.
- Utilize project management methodologies and tools to develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Recognize potential challenges or deviations from project plans and proactively recommend and implement appropriate solutions to keep engagements on track.
- Interact and partner with Corliss & Solomon associates in the Attest and Administrative teams to ensure seamless workflow and information sharing.
- Exchange routine and critical information with members of the client project team, including priorities, timelines, and any issues that arise, ensuring proactive communication and resolution.
EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEED: Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of proven project management experience, ideally within a professional services environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in utilizing project management tools and software, as well as intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
BONUS POINTS FOR THESE: Preferred Qualifications but not required.
- Base level understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
- Prior experience working at an accounting, legal, or similar professional services firm.
- Experience working with project management or workflow software such as Accelo, Suralink, or Thomson Reuters products (e.g., Engagement Manager).
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and also collaborate effectively within a team.
