Position Summary

Cornerstone Pediatrics has 4 office locations. One office is located on Romeo Plank, south of 21 Mile Rd in Macomb Township. The other office is located on 9 Mile Rd, east of I-94 in St. Clair Shores. The third office is located on 10 Mile Rd & Little Mack in St. Clair Shores. The fourth office is located on Utica Rd and Moravian in Clinton Township. This position would be stationed at the St. Clair Shores location on 9 Mile Rd, east of I-94.

Leads assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in support of provider services.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.
• Serves as a technical or functional resource and performs similar duties with staff.
• Assigns, monitors, and reviews progress of work. Monitors and reports compliance with policies and/or procedures.
• Oversees and evaluates orientation and training of assigned associates. May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.
• Inventories clinical supplies and places supply orders to maintain desired levels. Receives and organizes the handling of medication samples.
• Participates with Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and other health management programs as assigned.
• Complies with CLIA, OSHA, and other regulatory agency standards. Participates in in-service programs as needed. Follows infection controls and safety policies.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

The qualifications/requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
-COMPLEXITY OF WORK: Within scope of job, this position requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
- PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of a Medical Assistant certification program and/or graduate of a certified EMT program preferred.
- CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OTHER:

• BLS Healthcare Provider (BLS-HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) prior to start/hire/transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for professional Rescuers Card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from the AHA.
• Must be eligible for and is required to obtain Medical Assistant certification or registration within 90 days of hire/transfer date.

- WORK EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of previous medical office experience required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.69 - $23.36 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
