Regency Hotel Management is a hospitality management company located in Sioux Falls, SD. We provide hotel management services to owners all across the country. We're looking for a Director of Human Resources to join our team.
Position Overview:
Oversees the corporate HR department and insures property HR representatives are updated with federal/state law and corporate policies. Oversees various associate benefit programs like group medical, dental, life insurance, supplemental, and 401(k) savings plan. Provides recommendations regarding the development and administration of human resource policies and programs in accordance with corporate policy, and federal and state law. Facilitates renewal of property/casualty, and worker's compensation insurance renewal.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
- Keeps President/CEO informed of all company human resources, benefits, and claims matters of significance and provides solutions and support.
- Advises property general managers on human resource, benefits, and claims issues.
- Responds to all employee complaints. Investigates and handles accordingly.
- Oversees all benefit plans.
- Onboards new properties as new management contracts are signed.
- Responsible for worker’s compensation, general liability and property insurance renewal.
- Manages work comp and general liability claims handling.
- Coordinates risk management with corporate, property staff and insurance company.
- Produces, distributes, and updates safety and training manuals to properties.
- Oversees applicant tracking system.
- Manages other various programs. All other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
- Requires the ability to sit at a desk and computer for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 30-to-35-pound boxes of records required.
- Travel by car and plane required as necessary.
Qualifications:
- College education preferred.
- Five years Human Resources with benefits and risk management experience.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and handle difficult conversations
- Computer skills required, familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Well organized; accurate and attentive to detail
- Ability to solve problems independently and keep executive team apprised of issues when appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work with changing deadlines and priorities.
- Must be self-starter, able to work independently or with a team
- Knowledge of federal and various state employment laws and ability to apply principles to situations.
