We are seeking an HR Generalist/Payroll professional to manage payroll processing and benefits administration. This role will involve building strong relationships with onsite leadership, fostering a safe, motivating, and collaborative culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, and ad-hoc multi-state payroll, including garnishments, benefits, and taxes for over 200 employees.
- Administer benefits enrollments and provide accurate eligibility information in the HRIS.
- Conduct annual projects, audits, and quality checks to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with the HR team to communicate and champion HR programs, corporate communication, employee engagement, and recognition initiatives.
- Support leave-of-absence requests and handle disability paperwork in accordance with FMLA and company policies.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in an HR role, with a strong understanding of HR processes. Strong internship experience will also be considered.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Multi-state payroll experience and manufacturing industry background will be highly considered.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
