Safety and Security Lead
The Safety and Security Lead is the primary leader responsible for the protection of people and property across Eatn Park Hospitality Group, Inc. They will supervise activities related to the physical security of all company-owned locations and coordinate with locations where we operate but do not own property. The position will also include collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders; acting as liaison between external security partners and law enforcement. The Lead will support people in crisis situations and engage in appropriate follow up in such situations.
Responsibilities
Physical Security
- Develop incident response to physical security situations which can include developing and implementing training and crisis preparedness
- Lead the coordination and communication with external security partners and law enforcement for both planning and incident management
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures at company owned facilities and coordinate security requirements with client locations
- Review access control, surveillance and alarm systems in partnership with Facilities team
- Gather intelligence, threat and risk trends for critical information and situational awareness reports
- Lead investigations and conduct interviews in highly sensitive team member focused situations in partnership with the Team Member Relations team
- Partner with Operations and Department leaders to identify theft and fraud related risks and develop procedures to mitigate losses
Crisis Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all security-related incidents and emergencies.
- Develop and maintain physical crisis management plans and protocols.
- Lead security related crisis response efforts, ensuring swift and effective resolution of incidents.
- Provide guidance and support to staff during crisis situations, including mental health crisis handling.
- Assist in addressing incidents involving workplace violence.
Life-Saving Skills Training:
- Organize and conduct regular training sessions on life-saving skills such as CPR, first aid, and emergency response procedures.
- Ensure all staff members are proficient in emergency response techniques and protocols.
- Maintain certifications and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years experience in Asset Protection/Emergency Management/ Security related field
- Established knowledge of crisis management protocols and procedures
- Experience using Incident Reporting software
- Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field
- Previous experience in conducting security assessments and implementing security improvements
- Certification as a Security Professional (CPP, PSP) or equivalent.
- Ability to multi-task and work a flexible schedule. May be required to work weekends and holidays
- Interview/interrogation skills required
- Ability to build rapport and foster relationships, works well within a team-oriented environment
- Proficient with technology/computer related skills (e.g.: Microsoft Office programs)
