What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager position at Cortina Solutions?
Cortina Solutions is seeking a Program Manager to oversee a portfolio of technical projects (engineering, software, data science, modeling & simulation, and programmatic support) with various DoD and NASA customers. This position will also serve as Principal Investigator (PI) on SBIR/STTR awarded contracts. This role will have a hybrid work schedule based out of Cortina headquarters in Huntsville, AL. Occasional travel may be required.
Duties:
- Serve as customer liaison for project portfolio. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, and employees.
- Responsible for hiring and managing competent technical personnel.
- Identify and mitigate program risks.
- Develop and improve business processes.
- Identify new opportunities through market research to support short-term and long-term pipeline.
- Author and manage proposals.
- Develop business relationships and strengthen industry partnerships.
Required:
- B.S. in Engineering or Computer Science
- 5 years of DoD or NASA experience
- Excellent written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities
- Active Security Clearance
- Leadership Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (Technical or MBA)
