We're seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Manager to lead our team and drive the strategic direction of our endpoint management and infrastructure. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our systems while mentoring and developing a high-performing team. This role blends technical expertise with leadership skills, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization.
This is a remote role in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zones. This role must participate in an on-call rotation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and coach a team of IT professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Provide guidance on professional development and career growth.
- Technical Leadership & Hands-on Contribution: Provide technical leadership in the management and optimization of our endpoint environment. While leading the team, this role will also require a hands-on approach to complex technical challenges.
- Strategic Communication: Effectively communicate technical updates, challenges, and strategic initiatives to IT management and other stakeholders.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaboration & Problem Solving: Collaborate with other teams to identify and resolve technical issues, contributing to a seamless and efficient IT operation.
- Proactive System Management: Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in our systems and processes, ensuring optimal performance and security.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience leading and mentoring a technical team.
- Deep technical expertise in managing System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM).
- Deep technical expertise in managing Microsoft Intune.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting server and end-user device issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server management.
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, SQL, KQL).
- Experience with Azure Automation.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
- Experience with System Center Virtual Machine Manager.
- Knowledge of Windows Server and Windows 11 best practices for security and performance.
- Familiarity with Microsoft's Zero Trust or Tiered Security Model.
- Bachelor's degree, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent relevant work experience.
PAY RANGE:
CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.
For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.
Pay Range: $81,617 - $135,877
