Southern Oregon ESD (SOESD) is seeking a highly qualified professional to provide collaborative leadership for the effective management of human resources. SOESD is an established service organization providing a multitude of quality services for customers predominantly in Oregon, with business from across the nation, Canada, and Europe.
Position Overview : The Chief Human Resources Officer manages staff that support HR functions and supports department leaders with personnel issues, while developing, recommending, and facilitating personnel policies, procedures, and practices that result in effective and efficient operations. The Chief Human Resources Officer also manages other specific operations as requested by the superintendent, such as the substitute management system, to meet SOESD’s and customers’ workforce needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support organizational outcomes through recruiting, supporting, evaluating, and retaining staff.
- Promote efficient and effective operations to meet business objectives.
- Possess strong skills in interpersonal and public relations, as well as effective conflict resolution.
- Work with the superintendent and department leaders to promote a positive culture with all staff.
- Play a collaborative role in the development of highly effective integrated organizational systems, including business / payroll services and risk management.
Preferred Qualifications : Applicants with a TSPC administrative license and / or attorney’s license will be given preference.
