Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Receivable (A/R) Resource with a strong background in skilled nursing facility (SNF) operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable within a skilled nursing or long-term care (LTC) setting, with a preference for candidates with Business Office Manager experience. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of multiple facilities across the organization while supporting critical financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable Management:
- Organize and track accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in invoicing, contracts, and payments.
- Monitor and ensure timely collection of payments, aligning with regional and organizational goals.
- Analyze and review A/R reports, summarizing trends and providing actionable insights to management.
- Operational Support:
- Participate in billing and payment processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Provide hands-on support for A/R functions, including month-end close processes.
- Communicate and implement best practices across facilities.
- Training and Compliance:
- Provide subject matter training for business office staff.
- Monitor, update, and train staff on financial policies and procedures in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education in business or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounts receivable experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or as an A/R resource in a corporate SNF environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook or Google Equivalent.
- Strong understanding of SNF billing and payment processes.
- Experience in collecting from Medicare, Hospice Medicaid, Medicaid, VA, Workers' Compensation, and managed care plans.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations impacting skilled nursing facilities.
- Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to read and interpret policy manuals, technical procedures, and various forms of written communication.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate with leadership and staff.
- Ability to travel as needed.
