Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced powersports and equipment technician to join our service team at our powersports, equipment, and marine dealership in Greenville, KY. The ideal candidate will have professional experience working in a dealership (powersports and equipment experience preferred) environment and possess a strong knowledge of off-road vehicle maintenance procedures, electrical system diagnosis, and the use of hand and power tools. Experience with powersports (ATVs, UTVs, side by sides, and motorcycles) and tractors and other equipment is a plus. The ideal candidate will be energetic, motivated, and a self-starter.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain powersports off-road vehicles, outdoor power equipment, an on-road motorcycles including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, driveline components, tires, and more.
- Perform extensive vehicle troubleshooting and repair to include rebuilding major systems including engine, drivetrain, suspension, and more.
-Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, parts replacement, and fluid checks and replacement.
- Inspect vehicles to identify necessary repairs and document findings in repair orders.
- Use hand and various power tools to disassemble and reassemble parts.
- Test unit systems to ensure proper functioning using OEM test equipment and other computer related technology.
- Complete concise detailed hand-written and computer-generated documentation regarding diagnosis and repair jobs
- Must possess mechanics hand tools and toolbox. OEM and special test equipment and tools provided by the dealership.
-Complete assigned OEM training as required through online training courses and/or in-person classes.
Experience
- 3 years professional previous experience working as either a Powersports Technician, Equipment Technician, or Automotive Technician.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing powertrain systems
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals and technical diagrams effectively to complete necessary repairs according to OEM standards.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems
- Experience working with off-road ATVs and side by side vehicles is preferred.
- Pay is based on experience. Pay is hourly (not a flat rate system) and there is also an incentivized bonus program.
