What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineering Summer Internship position at Countrymark Refining and Logistics?
Position Summary: This internship is designed to provide the student with an opportunity to experience what CountryMark has to offer in the project engineering field. The Intern will receive assignments with objectives and milestones and will complete a presentation regarding their assigned work and CountryMark experience at the conclusion of their internship.
Interns are involved in education and training programs designed to provide students with professional experience in the furtherance of their education and training and are academically oriented for their benefit. Internships assist students in reaching their educational goals by providing them an opportunity to augment classroom instruction with exposure to a real-world employment setting.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
• Assist in project scope development, completion of early-stage engineering deliverables.
• Collect and organize data including equipment specifications.
• Participate in the development of engineering drawings such as P&ID’s, PFD’s, and plot plans.
• Monitor and verify completion of deliverables.
• Communicate project requirements internally, to vendors, and to engineering /construction firms.
• Work closely with project, process, and reliability engineers in developing engineering design packages.
• Support execution of construction activities as required.
• Support technical oversight of crude gathering pipelines and storage tanks and / or refinery operations.
• Support compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and present the status of assigned tasks and projects.
Minimum Requirements:
* 3.0 / 4.0 GPA
* Junior or Senior Class Level
* Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Major
