Basic Function and Distinguishing Characteristics
BASIC FUNCTION :
Under the direction of a Program Supervisor, assist in developing, and implementing quality management and quality assurance monitoring in a variety of Behavioral Health Programs; monitor the frequency and level of County-provided services through the State-mandated system of quality improvement, quality assurance, and utilization review.
Education and Experience / Licenses and Other Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Any combination equivalent to : any requirements consistent with a licensed Registered Nurse, Vocational Nurse, or Psychiatric Technician and four years of experience in a mental health or substance use disorder treatment setting as a specialist in the fields of physical restoration, social adjustment or vocational adjustment; OR an associate's degree in a mental health or substance use disorder related field and six years of responsible experience in a mental health or substance use disorder treatment setting as a specialist in the fields of physical restoration, social adjustment or vocational adjustment; up to two years of graduate professional education may be substituted for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis; four years of clinical experience may be substituted for the required associate's degree in addition to the requirement of six years experience in a mental health setting or substance use disorder treatment.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS :
Valid California Driver's License.

A valid driver's license may be required at the time of appointment and employees may also be required to drive their own vehicle and provide proof of liability insurance as per Vehicle Code VC § 160020.
