The ideal Billing Manager will have 3-5 years of strong Billing and Accounts Receivable Management. Those with experience in billing for mental health specialty are encouraged to apply.
Billing Manager Job Requirements:
- Oversee and manage billing team, and billing processes
- Perform Audit of Billing Department and develop and implement process improvement.
- Analyze new insurance payers for possible group contracts
- Work closely with Management & CEO on Insurance Revenue Metrics, Payor Metrics and Accounts Receivables.
- Produce Weekly and Monthly Reporting for Management
- Maintain up to date fee schedules for all insurance payors, negotiate fee schedules.
- Obtain insurance coverage eligibility, benefit verification, authorizations and pre-certifications.
- Manage electronic billing and submitting processes.
- Process/enter client payments via credit card, check, cash
- Collect all copayments, outstanding balances for patient responsibility.
- Must be STRONGLY comfortable calling patients on the phone, setting up payment plans and asking for outstanding money.
- Enters patient demographic and insurance information in practice management system.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding for mental health industry.
- Reconcile Accounts Receivable with Bank Statements
- Ability to understand EOBs and post EOBs into practice management system.
- Experience with full cycle billing, insurance claims processing, payment processing, insurance denial follow up, and patient collections
- Follow up on insurance claim aging. Re-submit insurance claims as necessary and knowledgeable of timely filing restrictions
- Resolution of rejected claims (denials) via appeals, dispute unpaid claims, and other issues with EOBs.
- Monthly processing of patient statements. Answer and resolve patient billing inquiries
- Hold weekly billing meetings with practice manager and billing associates.
- Communicate with therapists regarding new and ongoing patients authorized for service.
- Sort and File paperwork (electronically or manually)
Billing Manager Qualifications:
3-5 years of Billing Experience
2-3 years Billing Management and team leadership experience
Able to handle a lot of responsibility in a fast-paced environment.
Analyze problems and strategic better solutions.
Positive Attitude is very important
Position is 30 hours, with the opportunity to grow as the practice grows.
Please note: This position is not remote you must work in the office 5 days per week.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
