Childcare Worker - Floater

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care. This role involves engaging with children through various activities, ensuring their well-being, and supporting their developmental needs. The Childcare Provider will work with infants, toddlers and preschool-aged children, fostering a positive learning atmosphere while promoting social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Currently looking for a floater to assist lead teachers in the classrooms as well as assist with lunches, nap, bathroom breaks, etc. This position will be part time with the ability to turn into full time very quickly if shown that you can be a reliable, fun, and loving teacher.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Implement classroom management techniques to maintain a structured environment.
• Assist with daily routines, including meal preparation, nap time, and hygiene practices.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized building space conducive to learning.
• Document children's progress and milestones regularly.

Skills

• Experience in childcare and preschool settings is highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills to create an effective learning environment.
• Background in caregiving or nannying that demonstrates a commitment to child welfare.
• Knowledge of first aid procedures to ensure children's safety in emergencies.
• Ability to work effectively with children of varying abilities, including those with disabilities.
• Having the ability to show up for work on time and consistently.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with both children and parents.
• Experience working with students or in educational settings is a plus.
