Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their food and beverage orders accurately.
- Operate the cash register and process payments.
- Ensure that all food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation and service.
- Assist in bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Manage time effectively to handle peak hours efficiently while maintaining quality service.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions to provide informed recommendations.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash registers and retail math is beneficial for managing transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Strong time management skills are necessary for handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is an advantage but can be learned on the job.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while providing excellent customer service.
