About the Role:
CoWorx Staffing is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for a leading global manufacturer in Thomaston, CT. This role offers an opportunity to support HR functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, focusing on recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and HR initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Develop recruitment strategies and establish talent pipelines with vendors and universities.
- Provide HR policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Oversee benefits administration, including annual open enrollment and employee support.
- Handle employee relations issues, investigations, and disciplinary actions while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Manage and administer leave of absence policies (medical, personal, FMLA).
- Support HR projects and initiatives, including onboarding enhancements and performance reviews.
- Conduct exit interviews and recommend necessary actions.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and update job descriptions and drive HR best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience handling sensitive employee relations issues and coaching leadership teams.
- Strong recruiting and staffing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS software (Workday preferred).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, best practices, and labor laws.
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and professionalism.
