Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics (CPO) is among the largest orthotic and prosthetic service providers in the U.S. With our extensive network of clinics across the Midwest, we offer our patients an extensive range of state-of-the-art prosthetics (artificial limbs) and orthotic devices. We are looking for an experienced fabrication technician to join our team! Should be able to modify and fabricate prosthetic/orthotic devices, with a heavy focus on lower extremity.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Work with plaster to modify molds as needed
- Experience with the different materials and componentry used in fabricating prosthetic/orthotic devices
- Experience with operating fabrication-related machinery (troutman, etc.)
- Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use tools safely and effectively
- Ability to read and understand work measurement forms
- Effective organizational, time management and planning skills
- Good interpersonal and verbal skills for communicating with others
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
Physical requirements:
- Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds of weight
- Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a workday/shift
- Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to read work measurement forms
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand directions
- Adequate Fine motor skills for using laboratory machinery
- Ability to participate in sustained activities for many hours in duration in accordance with state labor laws

- High school diploma or GED required
