Job Overview
We are looking for a Business Development Representative to act as the liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until you close the deal. You will also ensure proper after-sales service. Business Development Representative Responsibilities
- Work within your specific geographic region (Charlotte) to find new business opportunities
- Prospect potential customers via cold calling, email, or other forms of communication to ensure they are added to the sales pipeline and produce more qualified leads
- Maintain CRM database to make sure the sales team can access current information on all leads
- Record monthly and quarterly sales and performance goals to ensure they are being met
- Present our company to potential clients
- Attend networking events to build and maintain professional relationships
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
- Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
Business Development Representative Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
- Experience in a construction or commercial real estate field a plus
- Ability to identify opportunities and to develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies
- Proven track record of at least 2 years of experience in a sales position or related field
- Working knowledge of the sales process and CRM software
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management skills, communication skills (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
- Current U.S. driver’s license and the ability to travel by car
