What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator position at Crane Engineering Sales?
We are a family-oriented Midwest and East coast based company; with locations in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. As a result of our growth, we have a need for a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to prepare orders and receive incoming shipments.

What You Get To Do
- Receives all incoming materials and completes necessary paperwork.
- Prepares shipments in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and specifications.
- Verifies incoming and outgoing shipments for correct materials, packing, crating, tagging, and handling instructions, loading and bracing, etc.
- Prepare bills of landing and other required forms including those for domestic and international shipments.
- Makes arrangements for pick-up by the carrier specified by the customer.
- Maintains adequate supply of shipping materials at all times.
- Maintains a clean work environment while following prescribed safety regulations.
- Meets need-by dates for all shipments or other requests.
- Communicates effectively with internal and external customers.
- Follows delivery driving routes and time schedules.
- Performs loading, unloading, preparing, inspecting and operating delivery vehicle.
- Assists preparing shipments in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and specifications.
- Check in parts and ensure accurate staging for assembly processes.
- Organize and maintain a tidy and efficient warehouse, ensuring that parts are easily accessible for the team.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
