Initially, the HR Manager will handle the majority of HR tasks independently, with the potential to build and lead an HR team as the company grows.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of Human Resources and payroll, ensuring compliance with labor laws and supporting employee growth and development. Key responsibilities include managing HR operations, processing payroll, developing and implementing HR policies, fostering positive employee relations, designing and delivering training programs, administering compensation and benefits, ensuring legal compliance, maintaining HR records, and leading recruitment and onboarding efforts. Additionally, the HR Manager will develop and manage a performance appraisal system to drive high performance and support the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities and duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- HR Operations: Oversee day-to-day HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
- Payroll Management: Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that align with company goals and legal requirements.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, conducting investigations, and resolving conflicts.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs, design and deliver training programs, and support employee development initiatives.
- Compensation and Benefits: Manage compensation structures, administer employee benefits programs, and conduct salary surveys to ensure competitive offerings.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- HR Reporting: Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Team Leadership: As the company grows, recruits, train, and manage additional HR staff.
- Recruitment: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Conducting Interviews and Screening Applicants: Conduct interviews, screen applicants, and manage the selection process to ensure the best fit for the company.
- Onboarding New Employees: Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new employees are integrated smoothly and effectively into the company.
- Performance Appraisal System: Develop and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance and supports employee growth.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
