Job Title: Deputy Director Human Resources
Location: Crawford County Human Resources Department, 903 Diamond Park Meadville, PA 16335
Classification: Full-Time—Exempt, Non-Union
Work Hours: 8:00A.M. - 4:30P.M. Monday-Friday (40H) ½ hour unpaid lunch
Essential Duties: Assists the Human Resources Director in the operation of the Human Resources office and maintain accurate files and records in compliance with federal, state and county policies, procedures, and requirements. Understanding of employment laws, recruitment, benefits management, employee relations, training, etc. Evaluate and process all FMLA leave requests. Assist in the payroll process as needed. Conduct employee new hire orientations. Assist in the development of personnel policies and procedures. Process workers compensation claims and complete unemployment compensation forms. Assist the Director in answering grievances, performing internal investigations, and conducting necessary training for County employees. Prior negotiation exposure with bargaining units preferred. Assist with the County’s wellness program and wellness events. Assist with risk management duties and the safety committee. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to any and all information as a direct or indirect result of job responsibilities/job functions. Performs related work as required.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field supplemented by 3-5 years working experience in Human Resources management, preferably in the public sector, or any combination of acceptable training/experience. EDEN/MUNIS software or other human resource/payroll software experience helpful. 1-3 years of Supervisory experience preferred.
Pay: $43,600 -$50,000 depending on educational attainment, experience and qualifications
