Insurance and Billing Manager / Billing Supervisor - Ortho/Pain Management office
Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead on revenue cycle operations within a busy, high-impact healthcare practice. You’ll manage the RCM department of 5 employees, streamlining the billing process, guiding a dedicated team, and driving improvements that make a real difference to patients and the business.
Salary
Starting around $50,000 and increases with experience. Benefits include a 401(k) match up to 5% after one-year, year-end bonus eligibility, dental and telehealth coverage after 90 days, certification renewal assistance, and approximately 10 days of PTO accrued annually.
Job Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day billing operations to ensure accurate, timely processing. Oversee coding and documentation practices in line with regulatory requirements. Monitor and manage insurance claim submissions and follow-ups. Supervise payment posting and denial resolutions. Handle insurance verifications and pre-authorizations. Analyze revenue cycle performance and implement improvements. Lead, train, and support billing staff. Ensure full compliance with billing laws and healthcare regulations. Communicate effectively with insurance providers, internal teams, and patients to resolve billing issues.
Qualifications
High school diploma required. Must have 3 to 5 years of experience in medical billing, within a pain management or orthopedic setting. Must have leadership experience within the same setting. Experience with EHR systems (IMS preferred), billing software.
Preferred Attributes
IMS experience highly preferred. Coding Certifications such as CPC, CPC-I, or COB are preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities. A proactive mindset with the ability to drive team performance and process improvement.
