What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waterfront Director position at Cream Hill Lake Association?
Position Summary:
The Waterfront Director is responsible for ensuring a safe and positive experience for all staff and Cream Hill Lake Association members. They lead a team of lifeguards to monitor the safety and well being of all who use the facility. In addition to overseeing safety, they oversee the day to day operation of the Waterfront, including all staff training, staff management, daily maintenance of the beach and clubhouse, and member relations. The ideal candidate views safety as the highest priority, has experience leading a team, has a love of waterfront activities like swimming and boating, and a general desire to positively impact the summer of our lifeguard staff, our members, and their children and guests.
Qualifications: The following certifications must be held:
1. Lifeguard Certification
2. Red Cross
3. Infant, child, and adult CPR
5. Standard First Aid
6. Water Safety Instructor (Optional)
Responsibilities:
- Schedule all lifeguards to ensure adequate coverage of all swimming areas
- Supervise the activities of all waterfront personnel including lifeguard shifts
- Work with the Waterfront Committee and the swim instructor to execute the swim instruction program
- Ensure that Association waterfront rules are followed by all those using the facility
- Ensure the grounds, clubhouse, and waterfront are clean and tidy according to the guidelines established by the Waterfront Committee.
- Verify time sheets of all lifeguards to ensure accuracy before submitting to the Waterfront Committee for processing
- Maintain adequate first aid supplies and equipment, reporting shortages to the Chairman of the Waterfront
- Act as a role-model for courteous and polite interactions with the members and staff and ensure all staff do the same

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:
- Supervising: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Lifeguard Certification (Preferred)
