Position Overview:
The Commercial Sales Representative will be responsible for driving business growth by establishing and nurturing relationships with apartment complexes, condominium complexes, and residential home builders. The role will focus on promoting and selling our specialized products and services, including carports, maintenance solutions, and hurricane shutters. The ideal candidate will have a proven sales background, experience in the construction or property management industry, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development:
o Identify and target new business opportunities within the apartment, condo, and residential home builder sectors.
o Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth for carports, maintenance services, and hurricane shutters.
o Qualify leads, conduct needs assessments, and prepare proposals for
prospective clients.
o Attend trade shows, industry events, and network with property developers, contractors, and property managers to expand brand awareness and client base.
- Client Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at apartment complexes, condo associations, and residential home building companies.
o Provide personalized consultations and recommendations tailored to client needs and budgets.
o Ensure superior customer satisfaction by offering timely follow-ups, project management support, and post-sales service.
- Product Knowledge & Promotion:
o Maintain in-depth knowledge of our product offerings, including the features, benefits, and installation processes for carports, maintenance services, and hurricane shutters.
o Present and demonstrate products to prospective clients through in-person meetings, virtual presentations, and site visits.
- Project Coordination & Sales Support:
o Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, project management, and
installation) to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
o Prepare accurate quotes and contracts, ensuring all customer specifications and requirements are met.
o Track sales leads, opportunities, and revenue forecasts through the CRM system.
- Market Intelligence & Reporting:
o Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify new opportunities and stay ahead in the marketplace.
o Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to the
management team.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
o Proven sales experience (3 years) in commercial sales, preferably in the
construction, property management, or building materials industry.
o Prior experience in selling carports, hurricane shutters, or related
services/products is highly desirable.
- Skills:
o Strong understanding of apartment complex, condominium, and residential builder needs and challenges.
o Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
o Ability to manage multiple client accounts and projects simultaneously.
o Proficient with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and MS Office Suite.
- Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is
preferred but not required.
- Other Requirements:
o Ability to travel within assigned territory for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
o A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
