The RolePrepare, distribute and / or review financial reports for assigned grant programsProcess accounts payable for assigned fiscal sponsors, and other clients and prepare related account reconciliations.Serve as backup for internal accounts payable processing as needed.Create reimbursement / funding invoices for assigned clients and grant programs.Prepare various other assigned account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, general accounting transactions, and preparation of internal financial reports.Prepare monthly financial reports and analyses for assigned departments, programs, and clients.Respond in a timely manner to questions from department managers and client representatives regarding financial reports or other accounting questions.Ensure that donor designations comply with board-established policiesCollaborate with staff across departments, as well as donors, volunteers, vendors, agencies, and independent auditors.Other duties as assigned.
Desired CandidateKnowledge of non-profit accounting principles and proceduresGeneral ledger and financial reporting experience is strongly preferredStrong computer skills required using MS365 – specific experience and knowledge of general ledger software, payroll software, Excel, and WordDemonstrated ability to effectively interact and work in partnership with diverse staff, donors, partners, and vendors.Positive interpersonal / communications skills and ability to use sound judgment.Self-directed with strong time management and organizational abilitiesAbility to independently problem solve.Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information.Ability to work successfully in a team environment and work collaboratively with co-workers within and across departments and functions.Ability to creatively troubleshoot, thrive under pressure, and accept constructive criticism.Demonstrates a positive can-do attitude, and flexibility to re-prioritize, multi-task, and switch tasks fluidly.Ability to consistently adhere to inter-departmental, volunteer, and constituent service standards.
