Busy travel agency in Belmont is hiring a full-time Administrative Assistant for immediate position, beginning as early as Monday, January 6.

Creative Travel is a well-established travel agency, having served the Belmont/Charlotte/Gaston County area for over 33 years.
We are willing to train the best-qualified candidate who is well-organized, has great attention-to-detail, hard-working, and knowledgeable with good writing skills. Please mention if you have any vocational experience in the travel industry.
Duties include: supporting the owner with data entry, document processing, quality control, assisting with travel bookings, marketing, managing emails, plus other duties as assigned or required. Occasionally answering the phone, greeting customers, organizing brochures, filing, and running errands. Our office hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. We would consider part-time (25 hours) for an outstanding candidate.
Entry-level pay is approximately $12 to start per hour, depending on skills and training requirements. After completion of training, pay will increase based on quality of work and the value-add. We offer paid vacation time. We do not offer health insurance. Ours is a fast-paced, but pleasant and comfortable work environment. This position is perfect for someone who loves to travel and can take advantage of the travel perks. It would also be perfect for someone with travel experience, who no longer wishes to sell travel.
- Provide administrative support to agency owner to free her up to focus on sales, while admin supports the back-office duties of data entry, processing payments and documents, booking travel insurance, managing schedule changes, updating database, etc.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries
- Assist in the preparation of travel documents
- Maintain a filing system for important documents
- Order office supplies
- Maintain contact lists
- Perform data entry tasks to input and update information in databases
- Proofread documents for errors and inconsistencies
- Assist with project coordination as needed
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or relevant role
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Additional qualifications as an Administrative assistant or Secretary are a plus
