Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collection Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing outstanding accounts, negotiating payment arrangements, and ensuring timely collection of debts. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with consumers and resolve payment issues.
Duties
- Negotiate payment terms with consumers to facilitate the collection of outstanding debts.
- Apply knowledge of financial concepts, including debits and credits, to accurately assess account statuses.
- Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy in billing and payments.
- Collaborate with clients to resolve discrepancies related to claims and payments.
- Utilize accounting software to document interactions, update account information, and track payment progress.
- Maintain familiarity with medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare providers regarding billing issues.
- Engage in phone, letter, email, and text communication as needed to follow up on overdue accounts.
Experience
- Previous experience in collections, account recover, AR, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong background in customer service and accounts receivable preferred
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
- Familiarity with revenue cycle management processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical billing and insurance practices is beneficial.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required for accurate account tracking and reporting.

Compensation is a $30,000 yearly base salary, with uncapped monthly commission. Potential to make a 6-figure income.
