What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Ministry Director position at Crievewood Baptist Church?
The Youth Ministry Director is responsible to the Executive Pastor for providing planning, coordination and promotion of the church’s ministry to students, grades seven through twelve, and their families.
Principal Duties
- Be a consistent and positive role model to the youth by right example of life in spirit and service of the Lord. Be enthusiastic and positive in publicly promoting Crievewood Baptist Church to the community. Coordinate vision and implementation of Crievewood’s ministry to students, seventh-twelfth grade, and their families.
- Coordinate curriculum, encourage and support teachers of youth classes. Plan and conduct Bible studies as needed through Sunday School, Mid-week programing and various extended activities that foster service, fellowship and the development of healthy Christ-like relationships.
- Coordinate volunteers for Sunday and other times, and serve as teacher, as needed.
- Define and lead ministry opportunities/events for students.
- Explore, discern and implement new ways to minister to students and their families. Provide opportunities for youth to accept Christ as Lord, coordinate Bible study efforts in conjunction with the lay leaders and church staff, and provide leadership of events that promote a deeper spiritual experience for youth.
- Help lead students and their parents in serving and growing spiritually.
Hours: primarily Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings
Qualifications
- Professing Christian
- Crievewood Baptist Church membership
- Minimum of two years in church ministry leadership.
Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: 12 – 15 per week
