What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer position at Crispin Valve?
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with a strong background in CAD/CAM systems and precision machining. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of CNC programming, CAD/CAM systems, preferably GibbsCam and Esprit, and hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Renishaw Probes and their programming is a plus. You will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting CNC programs to produce high-quality parts according to engineering specifications and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify CNC programs using GibbsCam and Esprit software to machine parts based on 3D models, blueprints, and design specifications.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD files to ensure accurate programming and toolpath generation.
- Experience Programming 4 axis vertical & horizontal machining centers, 2 axis lathes, Y-Axis & Live Tooling lathes, vertical lathes with live tooling, and wire EDM machines.
- Incorporate Renishaw probes to minimize operator set-up times.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to ensure optimal production processes, tool selection, and cutting strategies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of programs, including tool lists, Op sheets, and revision histories.
- Train and support operators in machine setups and program adjustments as necessary.
