System One has an exciting long term contract opportunity for someone to work Computer Programming at a Nuclear Facility in Berwick, PA. This position will be supporting the Systems Engineering Computer Group with hardware/software/cyber security obligations.
We are seeking a skilled Computer Programmer to work onsite at a nuclear facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, REST APIs, and Linux, with additional experience in Perl being a plus. This role involves writing and debugging code, fixing bugs, testing software, and ensuring application stability and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, debug, and maintain software applications.
- Fix bugs and provide technical support as needed.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Test applications to ensure functionality, stability, and performance.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
- Work in a secure nuclear facility environment, adhering to all background check and security clearance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, REST APIs, and Linux.
- Experience with Perl is a plus.
- Ability to write, debug, and optimize code efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be able to pass background checks and processing for access to a nuclear facility.
- Ability to work a 4-day, 40-hour workweek on-site.
