The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-fueled organization whose mission is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improve the quality of life for the children and adults affected by these diseases. Our work is dramatically accelerating the research process through our varied research initiatives; we also provide extensive educational and support resources for patients and their families, medical professionals, and the public. In addition, we lead federal and state-based advocacy campaigns to support medical research funding and improve patient access to care. Position Summary:
The Foundation has an exciting learning opportunity available for a People & Culture Intern. This is a chance to work within a leading non-profit organization to gain firsthand knowledge on HR operations that help an organization accomplish its mission. This role would provide exposure to the overall field of People & Culture. We are seeking someone for this internship who is high-energy, detailed oriented and a self-starter with strong inter-personal and communication skills.
This is a hybrid internship with 2 days/week in the Foundation's New York City office and 2 days/week remote.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Assist with data analysis and systems management to enhance HR operations.
- Support development of an Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
- Provide administrative support for auditing files, etc.
- Special projects
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Familiarity with HR tools preferred.
- Interest in Human Resources preferred.
- Interest and comfort level with data analytics preferred.
- Must be pro-active, self-directed, detail-oriented and organized, as well as work independently in a virtual setting.
- Ability to interact professionally with multiple and diverse cross-departmental stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize, work under pressure and meet deadlines (with supervision).
