What are the responsibilities and job description for the Code and Zoning Specialist position at Crosscheck Inspection Services?
- Expert knowledge of building codes & zoning resolution
- Ability to perform code and zoning analysis and prepare comprehensive, detailed & professional communications
- Maintain excellent communication with clients and attends meetings and conference calls.
- Utilize professionalism when dealing with co-workers and clients
- Proficient with all NYC codes, zoning resolution, memorandums, building bulletins, TPPN’s.
- Knowledge of CO requirements.
- Understanding of relationships between city agencies.
- General understanding of all application filings.
- Full understanding of how all agencies work (DOB, DOT, FDNY, DEP, Landmarks, etc.).
- Prepare CCD-1/ZRD- 1.
- Analyze and resolve objections.
- Prepare arguments for code and zoning determinations.
- Provides support for all filings to all Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Partners.
- Scopes new projects.
- Understanding of the concepts of construction.
- Understanding of what processes, forms, and filing is necessary as a result of a review of plans.
- Keep abreast of new updates in code/zoning bulletins and provide updates to KM Office
- Manage ALT-1, ALT-2, and New Building Projects.
- Meets with DOB commissioners.
- Ensures all billing is added on the day of completion to the code & zoning billing file.
- Financial Management of project budgets and billing.
- Preparation of RFP’s and Change Orders.

This is a full-time (M-F, 9a-5:30p) position located at the KM Associates of New York office in Manhattan.

Salary : $61,500 - $77,800
