Art Teacher - Anderson Academy Charter School
Location: Winston-Salem, NC, on-site
Schedule: 10 month position, 1st shift Monday - Friday, with some weekend/evening hours depending upon events/program needs

Hiring Range: $46,000 to $50,000 annually

Education/Experience/Licensure:
- Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field
- Valid North Carolina teaching license in the appropriate grade levels and subject area preferred
- Experience working with students in K-12 settings is preferred
- Experience with trauma-informed practices preferred
- A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered

As an Art Teacher at Anderson Academy, you’ll be empowering students through the arts and helping them find their creative voice. Your impact includes:
- Developing & Teaching Engaging Art Lessons – Create interactive, standards-aligned lessons that encourage artistic exploration and critical thinking.
- ️ Exploring Various Art Techniques – Guide students in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art to develop their artistic abilities.
- ️ Fostering Visual Literacy – Teach students to analyze and appreciate visual arts through historical and contemporary perspectives.
- Assessing Student Progress – Provide meaningful feedback through evaluations, progress reports, and student reflections.
- Managing the Classroom Environment – Cultivate a positive, structured, and supportive learning space for all students.
- Collaborating on School-Wide Initiatives – Work with educators across disciplines to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects and school-wide events.
