This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover. - Cultivating and maintaining strategic relationships with state education officials, board members, and key decision-makers in your territory
- Developing state-specific strategies for charter approval processes, guiding internal teams on local requirements and preferences
- Building diverse coalitions of parents, teachers, and community leaders to demonstrate strong local support for charter applications
- Creating and executing detailed engagement plans for your state, maintaining consistent communication with key stakeholders
- Leveraging relationships to get informal feedback and guidance during application development
- Focusing solely on policy advocacy or legislative affairs without direct business impact
- Getting stuck behind a desk - this role requires active engagement with officials and community leaders
- Working on general education policy issues unrelated to charter approvals
- Handling federal education policy or Congressional relations

Basic Requirements
- Proven track record as a state-level lobbyist or advocate, particularly in getting approvals/licenses through state government bodies
- Existing relationships with state education officials in target states
- Demonstrated ability to build local coalitions to support advocacy efforts
- Located in California, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina
- Willing and able to travel regionally
- Eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
