- Fostering and sustaining strategic relationships with state education officials, board members, and key decision-makers in your area
- Crafting state-specific strategies for charter approval processes, advising internal teams on local requirements and preferences
- Building diverse coalitions of parents, teachers, and community leaders to showcase robust local support for charter applications
- Designing and implementing comprehensive engagement plans for your state, ensuring consistent communication with key stakeholders
- Utilizing relationships to obtain informal feedback and guidance during application development
- Focusing solely on policy advocacy or legislative affairs without direct business impact
- Being confined to a desk - this role demands active involvement with officials and community leaders
- Engaging in general education policy issues unrelated to charter approvals
- Managing federal education policy or Congressional relations

Basic Requirements
- Proven experience as a state-level lobbyist or advocate, particularly in obtaining approvals/licenses through state government bodies
- Established relationships with state education officials in target states
- Demonstrated capability to build local coalitions to support advocacy efforts
- Residing in California, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally
- Eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
