Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Permit to Work Process: Oversee the permit to work process, including general and supplemental permits. Review job safety analysis (JSAs) that form the foundation of the permit and conduct daily site reviews to verify accuracy.
- Permit Issuance: Issue permits within the clientโs electronic system, ensuring vendors performing work receive the necessary approvals from the client.
- Site Walks & Compliance: Conduct regular site walks to ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and the Construction Safety Plan.
- Safety Plan Review & Recommendations: Review and provide recommendations on project Construction Safety Plans. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the plans align with safety standards.
- Incident Investigation & Reporting: Investigate EHS accidents and incidents, providing detailed reports on EHS key performance indicators (KPIs) and trend analysis.
- Support EHS Initiatives: Assist with the rollout of new EHS initiatives at both the site and project levels.
- EHS Audits: Provide support for EHS audits to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Strong understanding of EHS policies, procedures, and construction safety management.
- Ability to conduct thorough investigations and provide detailed reporting on EHS incidents.
- Familiarity with the permit to work process and electronic permit systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement in safety practices.
