Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Specialist to join our team. Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs that comply with OSHA regulations and best practices.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, including root cause analysis and recommendations for prevention.
- Provide training and development programs for employees on topics such as first aid, CPR, and occupational health standards.
- Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with workers' compensation laws and EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) regulations.
- Fabricate safety equipment or tools as necessary to enhance workplace safety measures.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding safety concerns and procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, workers' compensation law, and occupational health practices.
- Experience in report writing and conducting training sessions effectively.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques to address safety incidents.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not mandatory.
