SUMMARY: Responsible for identifying, analyzing and executing new market opportunities, specifically through strategic analysis and competitive market insights across all business segments.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate and facilitate enterprise wide strategic planning activities and corporate development initiatives inclusive of running merger & acquisition (M&A), divestiture and joint venture projects. Establish integration work streams. Address all areas: strategic, operational, technology, culture and human resources. Ensure action and resource requirements are properly aligned to enterprise wide goals, while championing the workforce to achieve them. Continuously monitor company and market performance to determine if strategies need to be adjusted or new strategies should be introduced. Recognize indicators that could reveal threats to the continued success or opportunities to grow the business and increase market share. Makes projections based on current trends and future expectations, and sets the strategic goals for the company. Identify and evaluate new investments opportunities. Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring successful project completion. Conduct in-depth analysis and review of business unit contribution. Perform market research, industry trend and competitors' analysis. Monitor and report on progress of strategic and business plan implementation.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, or related field; or a combination of post high school and equal may be substituted for education. MBA preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 5 to 8 years' experience in strategic corporate planning, finance and M&A with proven knowledge in data analysis, data interpretation, market research, valuation techniques, reporting and presenting.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint; in addition to strong financial analysis skills, financial modeling, valuation methods, business plan development and presentation skills.
COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously and to mentor, coach and train employees. Ability to function effectively both as a leader and as part of a team. Ability to identify and understand complex problems and review related information to evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to identify and/or document existing and new trends, as well as evaluate and predict their impact on the organization. Ability to provide subject matter expertise, counsel and effectively influence others at various levels within the organization. Ability to work with extensive cross-functional reams in the execution of M&A duties, and to build productive relationships with employees and other stakeholders throughout all levels, geographies and function of the organization. Knowledge of and ability to conduct need, trend, feasibility and performance assessments. Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles and practices of change management.
OTHER: Ability to travel as necessary.
