Production Associate
DESCRIPTION
DUTIES:
* Feed dough balls/bread into machine when coming from the makeup machine/spiral cooler at the speed of 40 pieces/loaves per minute on the conveyor belt.
* Measure, weigh, and count products.
* Examine and inspect products to ensure that quality specifications are met.
* Record product information on specified forms.
* Remove defective products, placing them in the correct trash bin.
* Seal bread bags manually if machine doesn't properly secure quick lock clip.
* Keep work area clean sweeping and picking up defective product and put in trash bin.
* Ability to multitask and be detail oriented.
* Work in unison and assist fellow team members.
* Help Team maintain operational lines.
* Remove all out-of-spec product from the line.
* Notifies production teammates immediately when any sub-standard product quality is encountered.
* Notify Engineers and/or Supervisor of any equipment problems immediately.
* Perform Sanitation duties after shut-down.
* Must be able to complete assigned tasks delegated by the Supervisor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Ability to bend, twist and reach consistently for a period of 8-10 hours. The employee frequently is required to walk and bend. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The fast-paced work environment of this position is sometimes chaotic & loud. You will be working within the Production/Packaging area, which has semi-loud/heavy duty equipment that runs at the speed of 40 pieces/loaves per minute. Work area isn't temperature regulated. Condition may include but not limited to hot or cold environment depending on the time of year.
