We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our growing lawn-care company in Hilliard, Ohio. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our residential and commercial lawn-care customers, providing exceptional service and support. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting customers with scheduling lawn services, answering questions about our lawn treatments, resolving service issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer-centric attitude, and knowledge of or interest in lawn care and landscaping.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to our lawn-care clients through various channels including phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Handle customer inquiries about lawn treatments, maintenance schedules, and special services with professionalism and expertise
- Schedule lawn service appointments and coordinate with our field technicians to ensure timely service delivery
- Process service payments and perform cash handling duties accurately and responsibly
- Conduct outbound calling for appointment confirmations, seasonal service reminders, and follow-ups on completed lawn care jobs
- Maintain accurate records of customer properties, service history, and lawn treatment plans in our computerized system
- Explain lawn care packages, seasonal treatments, and maintenance options to potential and existing customers
- Collaborate with our lawn technicians to address customer concerns about their lawns and gardens
- Support sales initiatives by identifying opportunities for additional lawn care services such as aeration, dethatching, or pest control
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or client services roles is preferred; lawn care or landscaping industry experience is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain lawn care concepts clearly to customers
- Basic knowledge of lawn maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture is beneficial
- Proficiency in using computerized systems for scheduling, data entry, and maintaining customer records
- Ability to handle cash transactions and process credit card payments accurately
- Familiarity with the Hilliard, OH area and understanding of local lawn care challenges and seasonal needs
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm during peak seasonal demands
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn about lawn care products, treatments, and best practices
